You are here to find out ‘How to set reminders with Siri?’ All of us have a simple reminder option in our mobile devices whether it is the latest Apple iPhone4s or any cheapest mobile set. Yeah, that’s a different thing that everyone does not use this option. I have often heard people saying ‘Oh, I forgot to do that. Why did not you remind me in the recess time?’ And I think; ‘Man, you have a mobile phone in your hand, literate enough to set a reminder. Why did not set reminders then?!’![]()
But people (including me) do not feel comfortable settings reminders for their day to day activities and bother setting them on special events and occasions only. It is because they don’t want to navigate through a number of options, reaching the reminders and then filling out a complete form for details. Congrats to all those who have Siri, because setting reminders with Siri are extremely easy and trouble free (just like all other tricks).Set reminders with Siri as if it is a fun.
Set Reminders with Siri:
Starting with the simple reminders, we can ask Siri about our daily schedule.
Say: Remind me about the meetings today.
She will respond you by checking your calendar and will associate reminders to all the meetings (even if you missed setting reminder when you scheduled the meeting).
Similarly; you can ask her to remind you to perform a specific task.
Say: Set a reminder to drop the survey form in the office time.
She will set a reminder about dropping the survey form. But you can notice that the office time information is vague, so Siri will ask you about the exact timings you want to set. Tell her and all done.
Not only this, but you can ask Siri about the scheduled reminders on a particular date before setting any new reminder. For example,
Me: Siri, do I have anything planned on 29th August?
Siri: No, there are no plans for 29th August.
Me: Ok, then remind me on 28th August that I have a stress-free day tomorrow.
That’s it.
I just thought of sharing reminders overview video with you all. Although it does not uses Siri but still it will be helpful to find out what benefits can be taken from it.
In our next post, we will teach you how to modify existing reminders and add new reminders in their place. We will also find out if we can integrate the ‘Maps App’ and ‘Reminder’ utilities to explore more possibilities.
